With the new year just around the corner what do we all plan to accomplish this coming year? Would love to hear everyone's wish list. I seem to have the same every year....I want to complete unfinished projects. I think I should narrow it down to a single project this year and get it done. What about you?

Many of us have just completed out two day class with Alison Cole. Shades of Blue is a beautiful piece and we all had a good time, although at times frustrating. Many of us were doing gold work for the first time. It's beautiful and we are all looking forward to finishing out piece. Thank you Alison for a great class.

International Teachers Tour coming in 2014 Alison Cole Is Coming November 19 and 20 to teach “Shades of Blue” We are excited about the class.

Thank You Lori for the wonderful program at our November Meeting. Everyone had a good time and we can't wait to see all the beautiful flowers when they are completed.

Hanging By A Thread Chapter November Meeting

The program for November 10, 2014 is the Beaded Teneriffe Lace Flower by Lois Threlkeld. It’s a fun and easy way to decorate clothing – and the best part there is no finishing, framing, or assembling to do. When it’s done – it’s DONE! We will be learning this technique to be placed on any fabric, garment, blouse, canvas, tote bag or vest of your choice.

October Meeting

What a great meeting we had in October. Billie H. Showed us how to do Two Needle Peyote Beading. Billie did a great job and everyone had a good time.

Two Needle Peyote Program

For our October meeting Billie will be teaching the two needle beading method.  It’s a great easy way to start beading and also produces a neat tight edge to the beading.

 

There will be a kit given out that will include:
Two Beading needle
Beading thread
Two different colors of beads
Instructions

You should bring your own light, magnifier, scissors and a cloth or beading sheet.

The plan is to bead a ring of embellishments on top and special picos on the edges.  It won’t take forever to complete this project  -  probably be done before you even go home that night.  If you would like to bead a companion bracelet later then you will be well educated to do it. 

 

If you e-mail Billie with you bead color request – the Kit will be customized for you -  If not then you will receive a nice selection of color choices.

Attached is a picture from our past sharing tables at our meeting.   This piece was done by Denise.  It's called Stained Glass and she won awards for this piece.

What a great time we all had at the HBAT Birthday party last night.  The Buttercup Restaurant did a great job decorating and serving.  Gifts were exchanged,  socializing by all and good food.

The board meeting will begin at 5:30 and the party will begin at 6PM. 

There will be appetizers', drinks and desserts available to all.
