The program for October will be Huckweaving which is also called Swedish Weaving.  We will be doing an Aunt Martha's pattern from around the 40's or 50's. There wasn't a date on the booklet.  It is a basket of flowers and bows.  For those of you that have done huckweaving before, the directions are a little different.  They don't give the measurement for the amount of perle cotton to use on each row.  I will try to figure that out before the meeting.  I think it will be interesting as the stitch is not the normal.  It uses the circle stitch or loop stitch throughout the whole pattern.  These are the items you need:

Huck toweling measuring 27 inches long. (you can get at Kelsey’s)
Spool of perle cotton, your choice of color
A huck weaving needle or tapestry needle, (be sure it is blunt)
Tape measure
Scissors
